Sunday was a day to travel to south to Queenstown. We drove from prairie to Foothills, through Farmland, vineyards and the alpine area where wild lupins are just beginning to colour the ground. Mt. Cook was spotted and comparisons to our own Rocky mountains were made. In Arrowtown we heard of the gold rush days, and I couldn't help but see a "parallel universe" to the days in the West and the Klondike.
Arrival in Queenstown in rain and chill, to another 3 course menu for dinner....and warm cosy beds!
